Names for Czech football squad against Germany and Cyprus
Czech national team coach Karel Bruckner has named a 20-man squad for
the upcoming Euro qualifiers against Germany (March 24th) and Cyprus
(March 28th).
As expected, Bruckner keeps faith with Tomas Rosicky, who's currently
recovering from a groin injury, telling reporters that he expects his
captain to play for Arsenal tomorrow night.
The Czech coach also included Marek Matejovsky and Marek Kulic in his
selection, both of whom picked up minor injuries at the weekend.
New boy Daniel Pudil keeps his place after being called up from the
Under-21 squad to face Belgium last month.
The only player who wasn't selected for February's friendly game is
third-choice goalkeeper Marek Cech.
Bruckner told reporters that he could still add to the squad, however,
saying that he had "various alternatives."
The Czech Republic takes on Germany on Saturday, March 24th at Toyota
Arena (Letna), Prague. The match kicks off at 8:45pm.
The Cyprus game will be played four days later (Wednesday, March 28th)
at the Stadion U Nisy ground in Liberec. Kick-off is 5:30pm.
